An Ongoing Dedication To Research
Our physicians and medical team lead and participate in ongoing clinical trials for the treatment of retinal diseases. Research is a key component of our mission. Among the studies we currently have are those for wet and dry age-related macular degeneration (AMD), diabetic retinopathy and retinal vein occlusion (RVO).
Our two Clinical Trial Centers, facilitated by a staff of ophthalmologists, neuroophthalmologists and ophthalmic technicians, enable us to maintain a strong commitment to the latest ophthalmic medicine and related areas. In fact, our physicians were among the first to use intravitreal antiangiogenics to treat retinal diseases.
In addition, our practice has trained numerous international fellows, providing young physicians with the opportunity to experience clinical trials, one-on-one interaction with attending physicians, and surgical observation. Through our patients’ generosity, we are able to offer qualified students an academic scholarship.
